We present another Piaggio Ape adaptation project, this time the Ape 601 model as proseccovan. As always, we approached the project comprehensively, the entire scooter was dismantled to the smallest screw, all metal elements were sandblasted. Unfortunately, this specimen was in a poor condition in terms of bodywork, and sandblasting revealed the flaws of the body even more. After sandblasting, the floor and the lower part of the car body practically ceased to exist, in addition, the previous bodywork repairs that Piaggio Ape had to undergo in the past came to light. However, even such a poor sheet metal condition is not an obstacle in the renovation of our workshop – as can be seen in the photos of the finished project. Despite the large amount of time consumed by bodywork and painting, we have not forgotten about mechanical repairs of the scooter and restoring it to full mechanical efficiency, so that the new owner can enjoy trouble-free operation. An additional motivation in the project, so that everything was done as well as possible, was the fact that Piaggio Ape in its new role as a prosecco van will conquer the US market 🙂 As agreed with the client, we painted the scooter a light green shade in the RAL color palette. The interior has new suede upholstery in a contrasting color that looks great. The bar area was built out of wooden planks painted a dark shade of brown. In addition, we made several shelves and a shelf for glasses under the table top. Finally, the Prosecco van was labeled with the client’s logo. Below we present the effect of our work
